Ivinghoe Beacon Spring Hike: The Chiltern Hills

10am Saturday 4th of May

Let’s escape the city to explore the dramatic hills of the Chilterns. This hike is stunning, with the first half taking in sweeping countryside views before passing through what looks like an enchanted forest! We will be on the look out for the end of the bluebells and wild garlic season. We finish off in the little village of Aldbury where we can finish our walk with a pint!

Highlights:

  • Sweeping views from Ivinghoe Beacon across The Chilterns including a ridge hike
  • Potential encounter with a sea of bluebells and wild garlic
  • Cute historical village of Aldbury & pub
  • Meet like-minded Adventuresses

Meeting point:

Meeting in the morning at Tring Station. Tring is a 40 minute train ride from Euston station. Exit on the side of ‘Johns Taxis’ and we will gather by the bike racks. If you’ve exited into a big car park this is the wrong exit.

In the event of a train strike we no longer offer refunds, however we do offer a voucher for another hike of the same value

IMPORTANT **There are no shops or toilets until the end of this hike so please use the toilet on the train before alighting. The hike starts promptly at 10am and we do not share our live location or route to those who are late or miss their train and cannot keep the group waiting**

  • Distance: 14.5km loop
  • Elevation Gain: 320m
