Sport or trad climbing

Sport or trad?

That is the question!

Sport climbing is the act of climbing single or multi pitch routes, protected by fixed bolts permanently drilled into the rock face. As you climb you’ll clip into the bolts as you go. We could also call this outdoor Lead Climbing

Trad climbing (Traditional climbing) is the act of placing your own temporary protection gear into cracks in the rock face. Learning how to place gear correctly can be described as a fine art!

Both are an exhilarating step up from outdoor top-roping as you’ll be clipping your rope as you go
