EXPLORING THE VALLEYS
Hike to Mam Tor
After a hearty cooked breakfast we will begin our hike right from the door. Our 11km hike will take us along a ridge line, where on a clear day there are outstanding 360 views of the Edale Valley, Castleton and beyond.
The views just keep giving as we ascend to the most famous peak of the Peaks, Mam Tor, or Mother Hill as the locals like to call it. Here we stop for lunch and tea, admiring the endless rolling green hills, feeling thousands of miles away from city life.
You’ll learn some quirky facts about the area and will have plenty of opportunities for photos as we take the trail at our own pace.
Once back in Castleton you will have some time to unwind or explore the many attractions in the village.
In the evening we will re-group for a meal at a quirky country pub

DAY 3
-
VIEW FROM THE TOP!
Climbing on gritstone
After filling up on breakfast we head out to catch a bus to the Hope valley, an area which is famed for it’s world class gritstone climbing.
Our two expert female Rock Climbing Instructors spend most of their summers climbing these crags, and will tailor climbs to the groups ability level, whether that be beginner or slightly more advanced. You will get to grips with belaying and climbing on rock in a beautiful setting.
After spending the morning at the crag we will head back to pick up our luggage and say our sad farewells, until the next big adventure!
It is advised to have taken part in at least one beginner indoor or outdoor ropes session prior to the trip to understand how to tie a ‘figure 8 knot’. Get in touch if you would like us to help arrange this
After our climb we will head back to Castleton to grab our luggage and say our farewells

Our trips are specially tailored for women.
Research has shown that there is a ‘Confidence Gap’ between men and women, which is very clear when it comes to the world of outdoor adventure! From a young age girls are continuously taught to ‘Be careful’, leading to less confidence with outdoor pursuits in later life.
We are here to push comfort zones and build confidence through outdoor pursuits.
