You’ll meet your hosts for the weekend and the rest of your Adventuress fam. We will spend a relaxing evening getting to know each other (and the alpacas of course) and talk about our coming adventure.
Day 2
Optional guided hike along the Jurassic Coast, and relaxing on Durdle Door beach
Wake up to fresh brewed coffee and a slow morning in nature. Today it’s your choice to either relax in your idyllic surroundings, or join an optional guided hike along a jaw-dropping stretch of the Jurassic Coast.
Starting at Lulworth Cove we will wander along an impressive stretch of undulating white cliffs, taking in outstanding views of Man O’ War beach, Durdle Door, Stair Hole and Scratchy Bottom valley.
Distance: 12km
Elevation Gain: 640m
Difficulty: Moderate-Challenging
This hike has a lot of steep ascents and descents. Not recommended for anybody with ongoing knee or ankle complaints
Towards the end of our hike we will take a well earned rest on Durdle Door beach to take in the view of the arch that has been sculpted by nature.
Back in Lulworth Cove we will have the option to pop into a pub or head back to the campsite for a drink around the campfire.
Day 3
Optional guided hike to Winspit Quarry and visit to Blue Pool
Another morning waking up to that fresh coastal air, and the smell of brewing coffee! It’s that time again to choose between exploration or relaxation, with the option of coming along on a hike to Winspit Quarry with a visit to Chapmans Pool.
On our hike we will pay a visit to the impressive Winspit Quarry, where upcoming Star Wars series Andor has been filmed. Following this we will hike a dramatic section of the coast, taking in views of Chapman’s pool, and rugged cliffs rising from the ocean. We’ll pay a visit to the volunteers at the coastguards post where we can learn about the history of the area.
Distance: 9km loop
Elevation Gain: 434m
Difficulty: Moderate
After our hike we will have the option to spend a little time in the cute village of Worth Matravers, paying a visit to a tea room or country pub.
